All ready to go back home from Toronto. I have been there for the last 4 days. Wow it’s been a while seen our last blog.

What has been going on?

Three things:

  1. Youth Triathlon Training camp for the month of July
  2. California vacation first week of August to spend time with family (Run, Bike, Swim, Climb…)
  3. Can Fit Pro World Fitness Conference for the last three days.

Now that I have been part of this awesome inspirational conference, I am getting new ideas and am starting to get ideas on where I would like to focus. Stay connected, I promise that this will be worth it in the end.

Having a break some times can be good for you and will refresh you if you get back in the wagon and stay away from the word PROCRASTINATION. I must say that there are times when I am even feeling lazy some days and that is ok. Stress plus rest is success, right? Just don’t rest too long.

If you feel like it is hard to kick yourself into the behind, find someone who will help you keep accountable to reaching your goals and getting things done. I know I have one of those hanging around some where. That person even reminded me how long it had been since the last time I have blogged. Action is the key word but stay mindful of what you are doing. Remember why you are doing what you are doing.

Why are you doing what you are doing? I train because I love getting my heart pumping, love to play and because I am very competitive. That is why I lost a bit of skin doing a strength competition at the #worldfitnessexpo. I did four sets of the monkey bars pull ups and loved it even if I did not win. The girl that won did 21 repetitions and totally deserved the win. You can see my fourth trial and my 400m run on my instagram account if you wish.

My abdominal muscles are sore and I love it (note that I did the monkey bars Friday and Saturday and we are Monday). I also tried one of those awesome treadmills that do not require electricity (seriously, if there is a gym close to Gatineau area I will be using that curved treadmill on a weekly basis during the off season) and did an awesome 30 minutes run plus 10 min cool down including 6X 100m strides and one 400m at 1:34 (slow but meh, getting used to the treadmill, it takes time to adapt people, took me 10-15 min to be comfortable at running at my usual pace 😊 ). Turns out I got to win this awesome 100$ gift certificate at Dotmar Fitness Equipment Inc to get training toys and I just know what I want to get. Thank you so much Andrew from Dotmar Fitness!

On that, keep moving and above all, keep doing what you love doing. It is what defines you and helps you grow into the person you want to be!
